Founded by Henry Akano and established in 2018, Hands On Tradie was built on a passion for transforming homes and outdoor spaces across Melbourne.
While Henry's background is in the arts, over the past 15 years he has expanded his expertise through studies in horticulture, agronomy, and the art of landscape design. He also holds certificates in cleaning operations and has worked as a sole trader for many years.
By combining creativity with practical trade skills, horticultural knowledge, professional cleaning expertise, and an eye for detail, Henry delivers thoughtful, high-quality property improvements that are both functional and visually appealing. Every project is completed with professionalism, craftsmanship, and a genuine commitment to creating spaces clients can enjoy for years to come.

Hands On Tradie did a full tidy-up of our front garden and cleaned up the yard edges beautifully everything looked neat and intentional, not just ?quick fixes.? They were professional, showed up when they said they would, and the price was genuinely fair.
We booked Hands On Tradie for property maintenance and a thorough clean after renovations, and they were fantastic. Their attention to detail stood out?bin areas, window tracks, and the outdoor spaces were all handled properly without us having to chase anything up.
I used Hands On Tradie for landscaping support and some creative touches around our outdoor area, and they made the whole space feel finished. The team was easy to communicate with, worked efficiently, and the end result really improved the look of our place.
